Bake Companion is an offline-first app. We do not collect, transmit, or store your personal data on our servers. All your bakery records stay on your device.

Information We Do Not Collect

Names, emails, addresses, phone numbers
Sales, expense, recipe, or inventory data
Photos you add to recipes
Location data
Device identifiers for advertising
Analytics or usage tracking

Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The app stores the following on your device only (in SQLite database + AsyncStorage):

Products, recipes, ingredients, batches, expenses, orders, sales
Bakery settings (name, currency)
App preferences (theme, etc.)

This data never leaves your device. Uninstalling the app deletes it permanently.

Third-Party Services

The following services may receive limited information when you use specific features:

RevenueCat (purchase validation)

What: Anonymous user ID, purchase receipts
When: Only if you make an in-app purchase or restore purchases
Why: To validate purchases with Google Play and unlock premium features

Google Play Billing (Google)

What: Purchase tokens, billing account info
When: Only during a purchase
Why: To process payment via Google Play

Permissions

Photos / media library: Optional. Only if you choose to attach a photo to a recipe or set a bakery logo. Photos stay on device.
Notifications: Optional. Used for baking timer alerts.
Network access: Required only for purchase validation via Google Play / RevenueCat.

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Data Retention

Local data persists on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. We have no copy of your data.

Your Rights

Because we do not collect personal data, there is nothing for us to delete, export, or correct. You control all data through the app's interface and your device's storage.

Security

Data on your device is protected by your device's security (lock screen, encryption). We do not have access to it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app means you accept the updated policy.
