This Privacy Policy explains how Philippines Law Library handles information when you use the App. We have built the App to function entirely on your device. We do not run servers that collect user data, and we do not require accounts. If anything in this document is unclear, contact us at the email at the bottom.
We do not collect, transmit, or store any of the following on our servers:
The App stores the following locally using SQLite and AsyncStorage on your device. This data never leaves your device unless you choose to share or back it up yourself (e.g., through Android cloud backup):
You can delete all of this at any time from Profile → Reset bookmarks, notes & progress, or by uninstalling the App.
The App is offline-first. It makes outbound network requests only in the following cases:
User-Agent are sent (standard web request headers).
No personal identifiers are sent.
The App requests these Android permissions:
INTERNET — to download content updates and (in future releases) serve ads.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — to detect whether you are online before attempting an update. The App does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts, or storage permissions.
The current release of the App does not display advertisements. We may enable Google AdMob ads in a future release to keep the App free. When that happens:
The current release does not use third-party analytics, crash reporting, or attribution SDKs. If we add crash reporting in a later release we will name the provider here and update the Play "Data safety" disclosure.
The App provides reference material on Philippine law, including statutes that describe serious crimes (Revised Penal Code, RA 9165 on dangerous drugs, etc.). The App is intended for users 18 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
The legal texts in the App are provided for reference only and are not legal advice. Sources include the Official Gazette of the Philippines and lawphil.net. Always consult a licensed attorney for guidance on your specific situation.
Because we do not collect personal data, there is no remote account or profile to access, rectify, or delete. You retain full control over local App data through:
Local data is stored in the App's private storage area, which on modern Android is sandboxed per-app. Network requests use HTTPS. Because we hold no servers and no accounts, there is no central database that could be breached.
The App is published from the Philippines and is available globally. Because no personal data is transmitted off-device, there is no cross-border transfer of personal data to disclose under the GDPR (EU/EEA) or similar regimes.
When this policy changes (for example, when ads are enabled or a new third-party service is added), we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where the change is material, highlight it in the App's release notes. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
